Welcome.
My name is Sandra, and this is my quiet corner of the internet where I explore colour, creativity, and healing. She Heals in Hues began as a way to hold space for myself — a space to pause, to reflect, and to let emotions flow when words sometimes fail.
A few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with depression. Writing about it felt impossible. Talking about it felt heavy. But painting… painting always spoke a language I could understand. I used to do it all the time when I was younger, letting colours carry my feelings across the page, long before I knew words could sometimes betray them.
This space is where I’ve returned to that practice. Here, I share my journey of healing through acrylics, texture, and colour — the quiet, imperfect process of reconnecting with myself. I write about the moments of doubt, the bursts of inspiration, and the small victories in allowing myself to begin again.
She Heals in Hues isn’t just about painting. It’s about listening, feeling, and slowly, gently piecing yourself back together. Sometimes the work you create here may never be shared beyond the studio; sometimes it may find its way into the world through a painting, a print, or a reflection on these pages. Either way, it is yours — mine and yours — a record of growth, emotion, and quiet resilience.
I hope this space feels like a breath, a pause, or a little spark for anyone who finds it.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for sharing — even silently — in this journey of colour and healing.
